It was in 1823, in the heart of the Po Valley in northern Italy, renowned for its abundant milk production, that the Ferrari company was founded.

At this time, it is difficult to store the milk: it is therefore immediately transformed into butter, mascarpone and other local cheeses.

From the 1940s, the family company "exported" its cheeses in wicker baskets to distant Naples.

The 1960s were a turning point in terms of innovation: practicality combined with tradition, encouraged by the Giovanni Ferrari’s entrepreneurial spirit, the company became the first in Italy to market prepackaged cheeses, for optimal conservation.

Today, the family heritage of cheese-refiners is still alive at Giovanni Ferrari.

The company perpetuates this know-how by producing its Italian cheeses in the pure tradition.

One of his greatest successes: Parmigiano Reggiano PDO, matured for 22 months in the cellars of the cheese plant, near Parma. Its powerful and distinctive taste has made the reputation of the brand, even beyond the Italian borders. Buon appetito!
